Springfield police investigate officer-involved shooting Springfield, Mo. – On Dec. 24, 2025, at 9 p.m., Springfield police officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 2400 block of N. East Ave. The suspect was holding the victim against her will. As officers were setting up a perimeter, the victim escaped the home. The suspect exited the residence with a gun pointed at officers. Officers then engaged and shot the suspect.
