Did you think this was a Tron Disk? Well it is actually a 9 track data magnetic tape for an IBM mainframe. The IBM tape was introduced in the 50s on the IBM 701 computer. The 9 track version became standard in 1964. The 9 track tape stored data on nine parallel tracks. It was typically 1 1/2 inch wide, wound on metal or plastic reels up to 10.5 inches in diameter.
