Here is how I paint a cat: 1. No matter what animal I paint, I always start with the eyes. 2. I paint the darkest areas of my subject. But I don’t go all out with the pigment. It’s better to start light and then layer to make it darker. 3. After filling in the darkest areas, I put a layer of the main color. 4. I’ll add the details.
