Testing the silk threads. I started by splitting the thread into as many strands as possible. Each square shows the stitching done with a different strand count. I soaked the sample for about an hour, then washed it to see how the colour reacts to soapy water, and friction. I’m very happy with how well it withstood the washing. The single-strand stitching is incredibly delicate, but I think I’ll reserve it for very fine details. The number of stitches in a 5 mm square is unreal. #silk #silkthrea
